Planning Your Own MVP

An MVP (Minimum Viable Product) is a basic, launchable version of the product that supports minimal yet must-have features (which define its value proposition). An MVP is created with the goal of reducing time to market, attracting early adopters, and achieving product-market fit from early on.

This template and mini-course will guide you through the process of planning your own MVP.

We have grouped the process to accomplish this into three simple yet valuable steps:

  • Understand Business Needs
  • Find Opportunities
  • Decide What Features to Build (Prioritization Matrix)

All of these steps should be included in any project's product definition, but following these will help you in identifying and prioritizing features in a way that allows you to confidently define what you need to ship a valuable first version of your product.
